Where does the money come from?
Throughout each year members of the League are busy raising money in a variety of ways, both large and small.
The major events are the annual May and Autumn Fairs, the Cheese and Wine Party held every February in the Hospital and the Summer Garden Party. There is also a group of stalwart supporters who attend other charity events in order to sell League charity logo goods, handicraft items and much sought after preserves, the quality of which has become widely acclaimed. The League also has a weekly craft group in one of the hospital wards where items for pleasure and for sale are made.
Hospital charity Christmas cards are also sold in the hospital during November.
Legacies and donations from grateful patients, relatives and friends also provide an invaluable financial assistance.
In order to continue this vital and valuable work the League needs the support of many more local people.
